Winnipeg’s outdoor aquatic season is winding down, with staggered closures for outdoor pools, wading pools and spray pads beginning in two weeks.

Several outdoor pools will remain open through the Labour Day long weekend, while others will close earlier.

Fort Garry Lions, Provencher and Windsor Park outdoor pools are scheduled to close at the end of the day Friday, Sept. 4.

Freight House, Kildonan Park, St. Vital, Transcona Aquatic Park and Westdale outdoor pools are expected to remain open until the end of the day Monday, Sept. 7.

Most city wading pools will close between Aug. 25 and Sept. 6. Central Park, Dakota Park, Machray Park and McKittrick Park are scheduled to remain open until Sept. 7.

All 30 Winnipeg spray pads are expected to remain open until the end of the day Sept. 7.
