Taylor Swift dropped a surprise countdown on Monday, eventually announcing a new variant — the “The Shiny Bug Edition” — for her upcoming album, The Life Of A Showgirl. The 14-time Grammy winner announced her 12th album on the New Heights podcast, which is hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason. With a release date of October 3, Swifties didn’t know what to expect in the lead up to the album.

Well, on Thursday, fans got another countdown on Swift’s official website. Like Monday’s countdown, it is set to end at 2 p.m. ET. Unlike the countdown earlier this week, the background is a blue glitter (versus Monday’s purple glitter).

So will it be another variant for Showgirl? Or could it be something else. Some have hypothesized she has an Eras Tour behind the scenes documentary on the horizon. Will Swift announce a lead single before the album officially drops?

Only time will tell.

One thing to keep your eye on is the fact the countdowns are also counting down. The first was five hours, leading up to the announcement of the album. The countdown for the “Shiny Bug” variant was four hours in length. Today’s countdown? Three hours.

Does that mean something? With Swift in charge, it feels like it does.
