Winnipeg police have charged a 42-year-old man with sex assault and luring of four teenage girls.

The Winnipeg Police Service alleges the man communicated with teens online and arranged to meet them with some of their friends in two separate occasions between November 2025 and January 2026.

Authorities say on both occasions, the teens were picked up and brought to a hotel. There, police say they were given drugs and alcohol and were sexually assaulted.

Winnipeg police were notified in June of this year.

On Tuesday, Daniel David Main was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual assault and sexual interference, and two counts of luring a person under the age of 16. He was detained in custody. The allegations against him have not been tested in court.
