Police have arrested a Brampton man after investigators say he crashed a vehicle before striking a victim while making a getaway in a hit-and-run crash.
The crash happened on Sunday around 12:15 p.m. in the area of Wilson Avenue and Fairway Road South in Kitchener, the Waterloo Regional Police says.
Investigators say they received multiple reports about the crash, and that the driver of a vehicle fled the scene.
That’s when police say the driver struck a victim with the vehicle while leaving the area.
Police say the victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No details about the victim have been disclosed.
Investigators say they identified the suspect as a 26-year-old male from Brampton who has since been arrested.
Police have not announced any charges in the incident, or disclosed the name of the suspect.
