BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced its 2025 women’s soccer preseason release on Thursday, with UAH ranked eighth in the conference.

Earlier in the week, the GSC unveiled its 2025 Newcomer Watchlist, which includes forward AK Wallace (Talladega, Ala.) and defender Taylor Fegley (Mobile, Ala.).

West Florida claimed the top spot in the Preseason Coaches Poll, earning 12 first-place votes and 144 total points. Montevallo followed in second with one first-place vote, while Lee rounded out the top three. Union came in fourth, just ahead of Mississippi College in fifth and Valdosta State in sixth. Delta State took seventh, with UAH landing in eighth. Trevecca Nazarene, Spring Hill, West Alabama, Auburn Montgomery, and Christian Brothers rounded out the poll.

The Chargers are coming off a 2023 campaign in which they went 5-8-3 overall and 4-5-3 in GSC play.

UAH opens the 2025 season in Lebanon, Ill., on Thursday, Sept. 4, against McKendree at 5 p.m.
