Triathlon to close scenic stretch of Dallas Road

Victoria Police is warning the public that a temporary road closure will be in effect Aug. 22 and 23 along a chunk of Dallas Road.
Triathlon Canada is hosting the Super Sprint and Relay National Championships between Cook Street and Memorial Crescent, and that stretch, which includes Clover Point, will be closed to traffic on Saturday and Sunday.
Traffic detours will be in place from approximately 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The Clover Point loop will re-open around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23.
Officers will be providing site security and monitoring the road closure.
“We ask drivers to remain patient while cyclists are in the area for the event and thank our communities for their support,” says Victoria Police.
