The 2025 Canada Summer Games continue today and run through Sunday, August 24th in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Saskatchewan has a full contingent of 377 athletes and 85 coaches taking part in the 19 sports contested in the multi-sport event, representing 92 different communities from across the province. There is action today in Artistic Swimming, Women’s Baseball, Men’s Box Lacrosse, Diving, Golf, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Softball, Volleyball, and Wrestling. Saskatchewan has 10 medals – 2 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze – good for 7th place in the provincial standings.

The Saskatoon Stock Car Racing Association holds its thirteenth event of the 2025 season Saturday, August 23rd at Sutherland Automotive Speedway. There will be racing in the Super Stocks, Run-Your-Junk, and Super Trucks classes starting at 5 p.m. with gates open to the public at 3 p.m.
