Supporting marginalized youth: FVRCF grant applications open until September

Applications for the Fraser Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation (FVRCF) grant program are open for charities south of the Fraser that work with marginalized and at-risk youth under the age of 29.
The applications are open to eligible charities from June 15 to Sept. 16 who work in Surrey, North Delta, Mission, Abbotsford, the City of Langley, the Township of Langley, or White Rock.
“Our granting committee is inspired by the charities that are doing essential, front-line work with youth every day,” said Karen Conyers, granting committee chair. “As we look ahead to reaching a historic milestone of more than $1.5 million distributed, these grants are designed to help local organizations expand their impact and meet urgent needs in the communities we all call home.”
The one-time grants range from $1,000 to $25,000 and will support programs with the charity.
Charities that want to apply must be a registered Canadian charity in good standing, located in the cities mentioned above, and work directly with “marginalized, vulnerable, or at-risk youth under the age of 29.”
“FVRCF exists because realtors believe deeply in the Fraser Valley and in the potential of every young person,” said Jamie Hayes, executive director of the Fraser Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation. “Through this grant program, we are able to connect generosity with action and help remove barriers for youth who need support, stability, and opportunity.”
Last year was a “milestone year” for the foundation, as it reached the $1-million mark in funds distributed in 2025.
“Reaching $1 million distributed is an important milestone, but the real measure of our impact is the young people whose lives are strengthened through the charities we support,” said David Herman, board chair of the Fraser Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation. “We are proud to open the 2026 grant cycle and continue working with organizations that are creating meaningful opportunities for youth across our region.”
