Initial reactions and Observations
Bayern struggled mightily in the second half. The whole team was overwhelmed by Dortmund of all teams, which isn’t a great look ahead of the new league season.Gregor Kobel saved at least five Bayern goals tonight. Fair play to him.Kim Min-jae gets a special shoutout because he’s visibly improved ever since he was put on the club’s sell list. Kudos to him.

90+3’ — Olise misses a 1v1 with Kobel, while Dortmund fire over the bar down the other end
90’ — Ramy Bensebaini is sent off for a challenge on Ismael Saibari. Five minutes added on.
87’ — Kobel denies Olise from close range.
84’ — Aleksandar Pavlović hits the ball well with his weaker left foot but his save is met by Kobel.
81’ — Ismael Saibari replaces Nathaniel Brown.
77’ — Kane’s effort goes just wide.
75’ — Goal. Dortmund get one back.
68’ — Alphonso Davies replaces Josip Stanisic.
66’ — Kane’s attempt goes just over the bar.
62’ — Michael Olise runs back just in time to stop a Dortmund attack.
52’ — Dortmund scramble in the Bayern box and try to poke the ball home but Manuel Neuer denies them a goal.
49’ — Harry Kane spots Kobel off his line again and tries to catch him off guard. The shot was ultimately off target.
46’ — We’re back for the second half!
Nathaniel Brown’s attacking prowess is pretty good for a left-back.Michael Olise is a bit of a slow-burner but he managed to set it right just before the break.Bayern is still helpless when it comes to aerial balls over the top.
45+2’ — TOR! Olise pounces on a loose ball to Ramy Bensebaini from Jobe Bellingham and outruns the entire defence to increase Bayern’s advantage!
45’ — Olise couldn’t score just then. Two minutes also added on.
43’ — Dortmund score but it’s been flagged for offside. Brown races down the other end but his shot is just inches wide of the far post.
36’ — Aleksandar Pavlović picked out Luis Díaz with a long pass, but the latter’s curling shot towards the far post is parried behind by Kobel.
32’ — Daniel Svensson missed a cross from the left which allowed Bayern to clear the ball.
28’ — TOR! Michael Olise dribbles into traffic, but the Dortmund clearance fell kindly to Nathaniel Brown who slots the ball past a hapless Kobel.
27’ — Konrad Laimer manages to extract a freekick from Jobe Bellingham’s attacking position. Harry Kane tried his luck from distance but Kobel managed to get back and save it.
23’ — There seems to be a lot of fouls in this game, and we’ve only just passed 20 minutes.
17’ — Bayern can’t find a way through Dortmund’s sea of players in front of Gregor Kobel’s goal.
12’ — Game is still deadlocked with Bayern making early advances on Dortmund’s goal.

Lineups are out! Nathaniel Brown trots out for his competitive debut for Bayern! Dayot Upamecano and Ismael Saibari start on the bench.
After what seemed like an eternity, the 2026/27 is officially here! Bayern Munich had an eventful summer and preseason, and all that preparation will now be put to the test against Borussia Dortmund in the 10th Supercup meeting between the two sides in the competition’s history.
Vincent Kompany and his men were hard at work over the last couple months or so and added signings in the form of Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt and Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. Chances are we’ll see those two on the pitch today and by then they will get their first proper outing in the new season
