Samsung will hold its “Galaxy Event August 2026” on 27 August 2026 to introduce “the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family.” If previous year is any indication, we’re probably looking at the Galaxy S26 FE, which serves as the entry model for the brand’s flagship lineup, occupying the upper-midrange segment.

It’s Probably The Galaxy S26 FE

Samsung stated the new device is designed to bring “core Galaxy S26 experiences,” including camera and AI features, along with the latest version of One UI. This pretty much confirms our assumptions, though what’s more interesting is the poster, which seems to depict the camera bump design (identical to the regular S26 lineup), and likely a new matcha-inspired colorway.

As with smartphone launches these days, leaks have already told us most of the things we need to know – in this case, the leak from WinFuture suggests that Galaxy S26 FE is virtually unchanged from the preceding generation. It’s got an iterated chipset (Exynos 2500), 8GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of storage, 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, along with a 50MP main sensor occupying one of three rear lenses.

That said, the newly-debuted-for-Samsung silicon-carbon battery tech is allegedly finding its way to Galaxy S26 FE too, with the leaks pointing to 4,900mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Granted, it’s nowhere close to the figures boasted by Chinese smartphone makers which are leading the way in SiC battery development, but it should offer a healthy endurance boost over its predecessor. Oh, expect increased prices, too, because RAM prices has gotten so much worse in the months following S25 FE’s launch last year.

The Galaxy Event will be streamed live on Samsung’s official website and Samsung Malaysia’s YouTube channel, beginning at 8PM Malaysia Time on 27 August 2026.

Pokdepinion: The deals have to be good this time, otherwise it’s not going to sell well.
