Police in Ottawa say they have seized more than 100 pills that were found scattered in two parks in a residential area east of the city.
The incident is prompting police to remind residents not to touch suspicious substances found in public spaces and to keep children and pets under close supervision.
Police say the pills of various types were found in Blue Willow Park and Silverbirch Park in the Chapel Hill South neighbourhood.
Police say they were found scattered near bushes and trees, on the grass and concealed inside acorns.
Police say they were first alerted to the pills by a resident who reported them in Blue Willow Park on Saturday and further investigation turned up more pills in nearby Silverbirch Park.
They say the pills are being tested to determine their composition.
