2025 PFL World Tournament Finals Predictions
Oleg Popov -192 vs Alexandr Romanov +160Â
It’s surprising to see Alexandr Romanov in the finals given his recent path, which included a win over journeyman Tim Johnson and then advancing when Moldavsky couldn’t continue after a low blow.
Romanov has always had a clear limitation with his gas tank—he tends to fade hard after one round, and his striking has never been particularly effective.
His best chance is usually to wrestle early, get top position, and stall with control. Oleg Popov brings a similar style, but he’s more well-rounded, with better cardio and cleaner technique.
Expect Popov to use single-leg takedowns, control Romanov from top, and ride his advantages to a decision victory.
Sullivan Cauley -162 vs Antonio Carlos Jr +135Â
Antonio Carlos Jr is a live underdog in this matchup. While Sullivan Cauley has power in his striking, his recent win over an aging Phil Davis wasn’t especially convincing—Davis found success in the clinch and on the ground, and Cauley left that fight bloodied.
Carlos Jr’s clearest path is to neutralize the striking with clinch work, force grappling exchanges, and use his superior submission game. If he can avoid getting clipped early, his ground skills could very well decide the fight.
At plus money, the value leans toward Carlos Jr, with a sprinkle on him by submission worth consideration.
Lazara Dayron -115 vs Bryce Meredith -105Â
This is a tightly lined matchup, and the stylistic contrast makes it intriguing. Bryce Meredith enters undefeated and has shown relentless forward pressure paired with strong ground skills.Â
However, his record comes against weak opposition, making this his biggest test by far. Lazara Dayron is comfortable on the ground as well but can be passive at times, often fighting on his back foot, which could allow Meredith to dictate pace and positioning.
If Meredith keeps pressing forward and chains his wrestling effectively, he should be able to control the exchanges and bank rounds. In such a close fight, the slight edge goes to Meredith, who has the style to push the action and edge out a decision.
Sergey Bilostenniy -192 v Karl Williams +160Â
This matchup comes down to whether Williams wrestles for three rounds or gets lured into bad habits. Williams is a strong grappler with smothering top control, but his striking is underdeveloped, and he’s been stubborn in trying to mix it in—almost to his own detriment.Â
Against Popov, he nearly pulled off the upset strictly by leaning on his wrestling, which is the exact path he’d need here.
The issue is, Bilostenniy has real knockout power, and Williams’ tendency to stand and trade could cost him badly.
The most likely outcome is Bilostenniy catching Williams during one of those exchanges. The straight play is Bilostenniy to win, but the value is on Bilostenniy & Under 2.5 rounds at +145, since if the KO comes, it’s likely early.
2025 PFL World Tournament Finals Main Event: Fabian Edwards -225 vs Dalton Rosta +185
Fabian Edwards looks set to have the edge in this matchup, especially with his volume, accuracy, and movement on the feet.
While Dalton Rosta carries more power, his striking is not as sharp or consistent as Edwards’, which should allow Fabian to control the exchanges.
Rosta showed his toughness and cardio in a split-decision win against Aaron Jeffery, where much of the fight was spent in clinches against the cage.
That durability makes a finish less likely here, especially considering Edwards has not produced many stoppages recently. The most likely outcome is Edwards staying composed, outworking Rosta, and winning by decision.
