SQUARE ENIX is inching ever closer to the release of FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, the first FINAL FANTASY game in HD-2D. FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is a celebration of classic and modern FINAL FANTASY that evokes the beloved titles of yesteryear, featuring a captivating narrative, a strategic turn-based battle system, appearances from beloved FINAL FANTASY characters and retro-inspired graphics. This title is coming to both Switch and Switch 2 Oct. 22nd, 2026, and it turns out one week after its arrival, Square Enix is releasing a soundtrack as well. (h/t Genki)
The Final Fantasy Resonance Original Soundtrack has been announced, and it’s releasing in Japan come Oct. 28th, 2026. This 4-CD release compiles a staggering 120 tracks, blending beloved melodies from the smartphone app FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS with 33 newly crafted tracks specifically for Resonance. This soundtrack was composed by a talented team including Noriyasu Agematsu, Seima Kondo, Ryota Tomaru, Junpei Fujita, and Hitoshi Fujima, this soundtrack is a must-have for every Final Fantasy fan.
This soundtrack doesn’t have an official physical release planned for outside of Japan, but it’s quite likely a digital version will appear on multiple streaming platforms. If you’re interested in importing the physical version, you can lock in your pre-order through this link for $30.
