A number of Barrhaven West voters will have to choose between two people they cast votes for in 2022 when choosing their 2026 pick for city council.
David Hill got about 43 per cent of the vote in 2022 against three other candidates to take the ward for the first time.
This election, the former infantry officer in the Canadian Armed Forces is up against real estate agent Jeff Balys and school board trustee Donna Blackburn. Blackburn represented the zone from 2010 until the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board was placed under provincial supervision in 2025.
Election day is Oct. 26. Other key dates are the special mail-in ballot application process Sept. 1 -15, and advance voting Oct. 1-4 and Oct. 16.
