Police are investigating after reports of a hit and run crash in a Kitchener neighbourhood that saw an 8-year-old cyclist hurt.
On Wednesday, August 19 around 3:15 p.m., police were told a driver behind the wheel of a white Honda CR-V left the roadway on Parkvale Drive, near Bianca Court. That is in the city’s Huron South neighbourhood.
An 8-year-old riding their bike on the grass was reportedly hit by that vehicle. The child was hurt, but police said their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
“The driver continued through the grass area, returned to the roadway, and failed to remain at the scene of the collision,” said police.
On Monday, police released a photo of a person and a white vehicle they were looking to identify.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
