2026 Stats: .320 BA, 36 HR, 90 RBI, 1.049 OPS, 5.8 WAR
Yordan Alvarez was limited to just 48 games last season. He’s returned in 2026 with a season that’s trending towards netting him his first AL MVP Award. A third-place finish in 2022 is his highest to this point.
Not only is Alvarez currently in line to win the Triple Crown as the AL leading in batting average, RBI and home runs, but he also tops the junior circuit in on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS, OPS+, intentional walks and total bases.
That sure sounds like an MVP.
