An 8-year-old child was struck by a vehicle and rushed to hospital on Monday evening in Mississauga.
Emergency crews were called to the collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at approximately 7:40 p.m. in the area of Adobe Court and Erin Centre Boulevard in Erin Mills, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
The child was transported to a local trauma centre and, as of Tuesday morning, was in life-threatening condition, police said.
The driver remained on scene and was cooperative, police added.
No charges have been laid at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police closed Erin Centre Drive for the investigation until around 4:15 a.m.
