A 58-year-old North Vancouver man is facing three charges in connection with a child sexual exploitation investigation, Port Moody police say.

Majid Talebi was charged with one count of invitation to sexual touching of a person under 16 years and two counts of telecommunication to lure a child under 16 years on Aug. 11.

He was due in court Wednesday morning (Aug. 26). A publication ban is in place prohibiting the publication of any information that could identify the victim.

Police say the department first received information about the allegations in the spring of 2025 that a vulnerable youth had been sexually exploited by an adult male within the Lower Mainland.
