Family and police are concerned about a missing man last seen around a Brampton mall.

Retnasabapathy, an 83-year-old man from Brampton, was last seen around Bramalea City Centre on Wednesday, Aug. 26, Peel Regional Police said.

Retnasabapathy is described as having a medium brown complexion, five-foot-four-inches tall, with a slim build.

He has crown balding with grey hair at the sides and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue and white striped polo shirt, blue jeans and black running shoes. He was using a black and red walker to assist him in travelling.

Police and family are concerned for his well-being, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121, extension 2133.

In recent years, law enforcement agencies across Ontario have changed policies about disclosing descriptions, last names and genders of missing persons. Peel police have told INsauga.com they are concerned that releasing the last name will make the missing person vulnerable to future online searches.
