The moon will pass through the shadow of Earth overnight Thursday.
It will not be a complete eclipse, but pretty close: At 96.3 per cent, it is called a deep partial eclipse. In the Montreal area, the eclipse will begin at 10:34 p.m., peak at 12:13 a.m. Friday and will be over by 1:52 a.m.
“The umbra’s dramatic effect will be easily visible as it takes an increasingly large bite out of the disk of the full moon,” according to NASA.
