The annual Capital Pride street festival and parade will hit the streets of Ottawa this weekend, causing some disruption to traffic in the downtown core, with some road closures starting Friday evening.

From 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.:
Albert Street, between Bank and O’Connor streets.
OC Transpo buses will continue on schedule over the weekend, with some detours:
Routes 6, 7 and 11 will be detoured due to the closure of Bank Street between Slater Street and Gladstone Avenue from 4:30 p.m. Friday until midnight Monday.Northbound trips on routes 6 and 7 will use Metcalfe Street and southbound trips will use O’Connor Street. Eastbound trips on Route 1 will use Kent Street and westbound trips will use Lyon Street. Routes 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11 will be detoured for the duration of the Capital Pride parade from 11:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
All trips affected by road closures during the parade will be detoured through adjacent streets.
Para Transpo customers attending the parade will be dropped off and picked up at Booth Street at Vimy Place.
Para Transpo pick-up and drop-off for other Pride events will be located on O’Connor Street at Laurier Avenue W., and on Gilmour Street at Derby Place.
