Toronto police say they are seeking the public’s assistance with a hit and run near the Junction-Wallace Emerson area on Wednesday evening.
Toronto Police Service said officers responded to the area of Lansdowne Avenue and Brandon Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m., according to a news release Friday.
A 34-year-old woman was crossing Lansdowne Avenue at the signalized pedestrian crossover at Brandon Avenue, according to Toronto police. A white hatchback vehicle was travelling southbound on Lansdowne Avenue when it struck the woman.
Toronto police say the car was travelling at a high speed and the woman suffered serious injuries.
The motor vehicle did not remain on scene, Toronto police said in Friday’s release.
