Gas prices are on the rise in Toronto, Mississauga, and Brampton.

Fuel price prediction website affordableenergy.ca says the cost of regular, premium, as well as diesel all rose on Friday and is set to increase again on Saturday.

On Friday, the price of regular increased by three cents, bringing it to $1.769 in the Greater Toronto Area.

It’s set to jump by two cents again overnight to $1.789 come Saturday.

The same applies to much of the rest of southern Ontario.

Premium, meanwhile, also went up by three cents on Friday in the Greater Toronto Area and is set to go up by two cents again on Saturday.

That will bring it to $2.109 per litre.

And diesel went up by one cent Friday and is set to go up another cent by Saturday.

That will bring it to $2.219 per litre in the GTA.

As mentioned, much of the rest of southern Ontario is also seeing prices go up.

It varies in some places, however.

In Kingston and Belleville, for example, the price of regular actually fell by two cents on Friday to $1.679, affordableenergy.ca says.

But it’s set to go up again by two cents on Saturday, bringing it back to $1.699.

The national average for regular will stand at $1.809 on Saturday, which is an increase of 1.7 cents compared to Friday.

Of the cities it reports on, affordableenergy.ca says the most expensive gas in the country is once again in Vancouver, where it will stand at $2.119 per regular litre on Saturday following a massive 10-cent jump that’s set to happen overnight. (Diesel will cost $2.629 per litre there Saturday after an expected four-cent increase.)

The cheapest gas can be found in Edmonton, where it stands at $1.609 per litre of regular. There, no change in price is expected overnight and it actually fell by seven cents over the past two days.
