In Sunday’s matchup between the two teams, the Las Vegas Aces once again leaned on A’ja Wilson, who delivered 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in an 88-78 victory over the Toronto Tempo. Jackie Young added 21 points, with the duo combining for 48 of Las Vegas’ 88 points.
Kia Nurse led Toronto with 19 points, while Kiki Rice and Temi Fagbenle contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively. The Tempo closed the second quarter on a 6-0 run to cut a 10-point deficit to four at halftime, but the Aces regained control in the second half and pulled away to secure the win.
The Tempo, who are 11-27 on the season, lost, 90-78, on the road in their last game to the Seattle Storm. Meanwhile, the Aces are in third place in the standings with a 26-13 record after that win against the Tempo on Sunday.
