Craig’s Cookies officially opens this weekend in Mississauga.
The Canadian chain founded by Craig Pike features fresh-baked cookies in unique flavours. The first brick-and-mortar shop opened in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood in 2018.
The new Mississauga shop, at 102 Lakeshore Rd. E., east of Elizabeth Street in Port Credit, celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 29.
“We’re so excited for you to finally enjoy our decadent creations!” Craig’s posted on Instagram.
The store opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the first 100 customers will get a free classic cookie.
This is Craig’s Cookies’ 25th location and first shop in Mississauga, Peggy Lo, director of marketing for Craig’s Cookies, told INsauga.com
The Port Credit store is owned and operated by new franchisee Imtiaz Hussain Bhatti.
Bhatti lives in Oakville with his family, wife Asma Safdar and two children. The family often visits Port Credit.
“It’s a community,” said Bhatti. “That’s what attracted me to Port Credit.”

Bhatti was drawn to the inclusive Canadian company that puts Canada first. He also has a sweet tooth.
“I love cookies,” he added.
The thick cookies come in flavours such as Bueno, Toblerone, Pop Tart and Pecan Butter Tart. The company uses all Canadian ingredients, and cookies are baked fresh, said Lo. Cookies left at the end of the day are donated, she added.

The Port Credit store also has Craig’s Banana Pudding on the menu. The sweet treat features creamy layers of vanilla pudding, fresh banana slices, and crushed cookie crumbles.
The Port Credit shop is approximately 1,500 square feet and was previously home to eyewear and sunglasses store Queen Spectacle.
Craig’s Cookie shops have popped up across Toronto, and expanded to Brampton, Burlington, Niagara Region, Hamilton and across Canada to Alberta and Newfoundland.
