VIDEO: Vancouver FC falls to Cavalry

Vancouver FC is still in the playoffs after a 1-0 defeat Saturday on the road against Cavalry FC, which saw the Calgary team avenge their loss to the Eagles last month.
At 58 minutes, Cavs found their opener when Harry Paton won a free kick well outside the box, and left-back Bradley Kamdem-Fewo made it 1-0.
With several members of the Langley-based Vancouver team squad still out due to illness, Eagles nonetheless managed a strong lineup ,with key players Kian Proctor and Lys Mousset back into the squad, although Nicolas Mezquida remained on the bench.
With another three points at home, the Cavs stretched their unbeaten streak to six games (five of them wins) and leapfrogged Forge FC to claim first place in Canadian Premier League standings.
Despite suffering their third loss in a row, VFC maintained their strong grip on the fourth and final playoff spot with a five-point cushion.
However, FC Supra du Québec, who beat Forge on Friday night, could narrow that lead when the two rivals meet next weekend in the Stadium at Langley Events Centre, on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m.
