Three Ontario clubs won national youth titles in four divisions at Canada Soccer’s 2026 PDP Championship on Sunday. Vaughan SC, Woodbridge SC (twice) and North Mississauga SC all come out on top after five days of competition in Montréal, Québec.
All 32 youth teams were in action on Sunday 30 August in four divisions across two age categories: the PDP U-17 Cup for boys and girls; the PDP U-15 Cup for boys girls. Hosted by Canada Soccer with Soccer Québec, the 2026 PDP Championship was played in the Montréal borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro (Parc George-Springate and Parc Grier) as well as its neighbouring City of Pointe-Claire (Terra-Cotta Natural Park).
In the PDP U-15 Cup, North Mississauga SC won the girls’ division while Woodbridge SC won the boys’ division. North Mississauga won the first Canadian Final of the day with a 3:1 victory over Pickering FC. In the early afternoon, Woodbridge (M15) won 4-2 on penalties after a 2:2 draw with Ottawa South United SC.
In the PDP U-17 Cup, Vaughan SC won the boys’ division while Woodbridge SC won the girls’ division. Vaughan SC won 4-3 on penalties after a 1:1 draw with Woodbridge SC (M17 boys), then Woodbridge SC (F17 girls) won 4-2 on penalties after a 2:2 draw with Surrey United SC.
From the four divisions, the four Most Valuable Players were Saira Di Luca (North Mississauga SC), Vincent Restivo (Woodbrige SC), Michael Arangio (Vaughan SC), and Faith Koromilos (Woodbridge SC).
As the preeminent week to Canada Soccer’s Player-Development Program, the annual PDP Championship brings together Canada’s bright young talents from four competing leagues in four divisions for boys and girls in the U-17 and U-15 age divisions. This year’s 32 teams qualified from a group 236 youth teams competing in four divisions across Canada’s four standards-based leagues: the BC Soccer Premier League, the Alberta Player-Development League, the Ontario Player-Development League, and the Québec Youth Soccer Premier League (PLSJQ).
