Montreal police arson investigators will probe a fire early Tuesday that destroyed a car parked in the driveway of a private residence in the city’s Rivière-des-Prairies district.
A 911 call was received at 2:50 a.m. reporting the vehicle on fire on Louis-Darveau St. near Marc-Aurèle-Fortin Blvd.
Nearby residents were evacuated from their homes as a precaution, but the flames were confined to the car, which police described as a total loss.
