Angel Reese entered the WNBA break on a high note. In their final game before the season paused for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, the Atlanta Dream star made history and helped lead the team to victory over the top-ranked Minnesota Lynx.
Reese finished with a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds, along with two assists, two steals and one block, as the Dream took down the Lynx 89-81.
With her performance, Reese set a new record for the most double-doubles in a season with 29, surpassing the previous mark set by Alyssa Thomas.
It’s worth noting that Reese has also already broken the record for the most rebounds in a single season in WNBA history, as well as set new marks for the most offensive and defensive rebounds in a season by a Dream player.
