Coquitlam RCMP is seeking dash-cam footage of a targeted shooting.

Mounties put the call out Tuesday (Sept. 1) for anyone who may have footage from the area of the 100-block of Schoolhouse Street in Coquitlam between 7 and 9 p.m. on Aug. 29. The footage can be from vehicles parked or travelling in the area.

“Even footage that may appear uneventful or unrelated could contain information that is valuable to the investigation,” the news release says.

Coquitlam says the shooting is believed to be targeted and there is no ongoing risk to the public. However, the motive remains under investigation.

Police added that “in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, no further information will be released at this time.”

Anyone with dash camera footage from the specified date and time is asked to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2026-22634.
