A large house in West Point Grey has hit Vancouver’s real estate market, listing for $16 million.
Dubbed “Step House” by its designers at Measured Architects, the unique home has a modern design set in a park-like lot at 4725 W 4th Ave. On their site, Measured describes the house as a “haven for a family.”
“Step House uses a stacked effect to mimic the shipping containers native to Vancouver’s harbour,” reads the webpage.
The 7,500-square-foot house was featured shortly after completion by Arch Daily, one of the biggest architecture websites in the world.
In all, there are six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The house also has a home theatre space, a home gym and its own elevator.
“Our clients requested that we maintain a minimalistic approach to the site, and the result is a building that is simple, refined and white,” reads the Measured site.
Outside, along with the park-like backyard, there’s a patio and a basketball court.
