A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Brampton on Thursday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the incident at Thorndale Road and Cottrelle Boulevard in the city’s northeast end at 8:15 a.m., Peel Regional Police said.

A woman in her 30s suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital, police said.

The driver remained on scene, police added.

The Thorndale Road and Cottrelle Boulevard intersection was shut down.

Police asked drivers to use alternate routes.
