Tee up at City golf courses

Get into the swing of things at City driving ranges or tee it up at one of our seven municipal golf courses at five locations throughout the city. Visit calgary.ca/golf to learn more and book a tee time.

Paid swimming
We are offering paid swimming on Sept. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Dr. S.W.).

Paid skating
We are offering paid family skating on Sept. 7 from 1 to 2:15 p.m. and 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Dr. S.W.).

There will also be paid Stick & Pucks on Sept. 7 from 1:45 to 3 p.m. at Southland Leisure Centre (2000 Southland Dr. S.W.).

Getting around

Calgary Transit 
Over the Labour Day weekend we adjust our service hours. On Monday, Sept. 7, we will be operating buses, CTrains and On Demand on a Sunday level of service.

Fall service changes also came into effect starting Aug. 31. View the full list of changes, including the new and modified routes in the North Central area and Saddletowne, at calgarytransit.com/Fall2026.

CTrain closures on the Labour Day weekend:  

The Blue Line will be closed between City Hall/Bow Valley College and Marlborough stations starting Saturday, Sept. 5 until start of service Tuesday, Sept. 8. Shuttle buses will replace CTrain service between impacted stations, with a separate express shuttle providing direct service between City Hall/Bow Valley College and Marlborough stations.

Parade Day:
Parts of downtown will be closed due to the Calgary Pride Parade on Sunday, Sept. 6, and some bus routes will be affected. Detour route information will be made available at calgarytransit.com/service-updates.

Labour Day Classic: 
We advise customers taking transit to the Labour Day Classic at McMahon Stadium on Monday to plan ahead and give themselves some extra time. Check the trip planner to find the best routes to get to the game ahead of the opening ceremony.

Calgary Parking 
Enjoy free parking in on-street ParkPlus zones on Monday, Sept. 7. Weekend rates apply at all Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots. Please note that regular rates will be in effect at partner lots such as TELUS Spark, the Calgary Stampede, Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park.

The Calgary Parking Contact Centre and Impound Lot will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7. For more information, please visit calgaryparking.com.

Below is a list of some of the major road closures and construction around Calgary over the long weekend:

Calgary Pride Parade Road closures: on Sept. 6, the following closures and traffic restrictions will be in place for the Calgary Pride Parade:

Starting at 6 a.m.: 9 Avenue S.W. between 11 and 5 Street S.W. will be closed for the parade staging area.Starting at 10 a.m.: 9 Avenue between 5 Street S.W. and 8 Street S.E., will be closed for the parade route, with additional closures on intersecting roads.Closures will remain in place until the event is safely cleared.
