Since opening in 2006, The Rose has welcomed more than three million visitors and hosted more than 5,000 performances and events. It has become a cornerstone of Brampton’s cultural life and downtown, welcoming local, national and international artists while creating opportunities for Brampton performers, producers, community groups and audiences to experience and participate in live arts.

The Homegrown Concert: 6 p.m.
Location: The Rose, 1 Theatre Lane, Brampton, ON
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can explore the theatre, enjoy family-friendly activities, browse
an artist market and experience live performances throughout the day. Programming includes
a performance by the Gather Round Singers, Jumblies Theatre’s inclusive community choir,
and Dan Brown’s Wild Symphony, a family-friendly musical experience presented in partnership with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
At 6 p.m., the celebration moves to the Mainstage for The Homegrown, The Rose’s 20th anniversary concert. Hosted by This Is Brampton alum Keesha Brownie, the concert features fellow This Is Brampton artists and alumni The Wild Woman and TC Spades, a dance performance curated by Rachel Chen, and a headline performance by JUNO Award-winning
artist Kirk Diamond.
