Power outage hits over 1,300 customers in Mississauga

It could take hours for repair crews to restore power to some 1,300 customers in Mississauga following an outage on Saturday.

Alectra Utilities says the outage happened around 3 p.m. in the area of Dixie Road and Rathburn Road East in Mississauga. The utility provider says over 1,330 homes and businesses are without power, and it could take until 9 p.m. for service to be restored.

Alectra says a repair crew has been assigned to deal with the issue in an update shortly after 3:30 p.m., and the cause of the outage is still under investigation.
