Sunday is expected to be cloudy but should stay dry in the Greater Toronto Area and across southern Ontario.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says the morning will bring mainly cloudy conditions to Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Hamilton, Oshawa and Niagara Falls.
The daytime high will be around 24 C in Mississauga but could feel more like 28 C or 29 C in Toronto due to the humidity. Environment Canada says the seasonal normal for this time of year in Mississauga is between 11 C and 22 C.
The UV index will be 6 or “high,” the weather agency says. Environment Canada recommends taking precautions when the UV index reaches 3 or higher, including wearing sunscreen, sunglasses and protective clothing, and limiting prolonged sun exposure during peak afternoon hours.
Conditions are expected to clear across the GTA into Sunday evening, with a low of 13 C in Hamilton, 14 C in Mississauga and 15 C in Toronto. Sunset is expected at 7:47 p.m.
Looking ahead to Labour Day Monday, the morning will be mainly sunny with temperatures around 13 C in Mississauga warming up to 24 C in the afternoon. It could feel more like 27 C due to the humidity, The Weather Network says.
Monday evening is expected to bring partly cloudy skies to Mississauga and humid conditions that will make the evening temperature feel like 21 C.
Tuesday could bring a return of wet weather to the GTA, with a mix of sun and cloud forecast with a 40 per cent chance of showers, Environment Canada says. The daytime high will be around 24 C in Mississauga but could feel more like 28 C due to the humidity, according to The Weather Network.
