A gas leak prompted the evacuation of several homes in Brampton on Sunday.
Peel Regional Police said officers responded to the area of Seaborn Road and Bingham Road shortly before 5 p.m. for reports of an active gas leak behind a residential unit.
All residential units on the street were evacuated as a precaution, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services and Enbridge Gas attended the scene.
In an update, police said no transit routes were affected and the gas leak was expected to be repaired within two to three hours.
Residents were asked to avoid the area while crews worked to address the leak.
As of Monday, police have not provided information on what caused the gas leak.
