Swift Current’s Brent Wotypka saw his Canadian Men’s Senior Championship come to an end Wednesday at Niakwa Country Club in Winnipeg.
The Elmwood Golf Club golfer shot a 9-over 81 in the second round to finish at 24-over and miss the cut by 12 strokes.
Wotypka carded a birdie on the opening hole Wednesday and also finished tied for 32nd in the Super-Senior 65+ leaderboard.
He opened the national championship Tuesday with a 15-over 87, recording a birdie on the 14th hole.
Wotypka earned spot at nationals in Meadow Lake
Wotypka qualified for the tournament July 26 after winning the Super-Senior 65+ championship at the Saskatchewan Senior Championships in Meadow Lake.
