LETTER: Surrey must preserve Crescent Beach

I respectfully disagree with Rob Mumford’s “Surrey doesn’t need a little Malibu.”
I believe we who live in high-density housing areas, in small condos with views of our neighbour’s balcony, need a place with space.
Crescent Beach is a place to take a deep breath and let your shoulders drop. A place where you can walk the beach most days without fighting crowds. A place that feels like stepping back in time. We need to preserve it for all of our mental health.
I already feel for the homeowners there who are inundated by traffic and picnickers every weekend. But let’s not increase that by adding more housing.
