Zurkowsky: Alouettes set sights on erasing 11 years of misery in Lions’ den of despair

On Saturday afternoon, Saskatchewan travels to Winnipeg to play what affectionately has been dubbed the Banjo Bowl.

Later, the Alouettes meet the B.C. Lions in the second half of a home-and-away series at BC Place (10 p.m., TSN1, TSN3, TSN4, TSN5, RDS, TSN Radio-690, 99.5 FM).

While some — at least from an Als perspective — would refer to the contest as Guaranteed Loss Night, we have decided instead to rename the match the Tom Higgins Bowl. We hope the phrase will catch on.
