UFC President Dana White recently went off on Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn, claiming that he is trying to “hurt” the Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury boxing super fight that would be the biggest in modern British boxing history. The main reason appears to be that Hearn reportedly wants the fight to take place in the UK, notably Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, whilst ZUFFA and co want it in the States.

“I’ve never seen a guy who is supposed to be the promoter of an event hurt a fight more than this guy has. It’s pretty fascinating, actually” White recently said to IFLTV. “This guy continues to hurt this fight, which is the weirdest thing that I’ve ever seen.

“Normally, what you do if you’re the promoter, you’re the guy who is guiding your fighter, you go where the money is. You try to make your guy as much money as you can. That’s definitely not been the case with this fight.””

White would then say that the fight was extremely close to falling apart: “Yes. We are literally right f*cking there. It just gets to the point where it’s f*cking silly now. If it [the fight] happens in the UK, there is a lot less money involved in the fight. My job is I come in, and I figure out how to make both guys money and all the other people involved money.”
