Day first signed with the organization in 2024 and has been on a diverse path towards the Cup Series since then. During the 2025 season, Day won multiple times in Sprint Cars, made five CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series appearances (including a podium finish at Road America), and competed in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series.

This season, Day is part of the 12-car field in the Chase for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series with wins at Talladega Superspeedway and Dover Motor Speedway. He currently sits fifth in the championship standings following a second-place finish at Darlington Raceway.

“What Corey has accomplished in such a short time is remarkable,” said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. “He came to us with generational talent but almost no experience racing on pavement. The fact that he’s already competing for a championship at this level is extraordinary, and he’s just beginning to scratch the surface. We love Corey’s character and how he fits our organization, and we’re proud to have him with us for many years to come.”
