Peel Regional Police say Lovepreet Mann, 27, of Brampton, has been charged with three counts of robbery, and one count each of aggravated assault, weapons dangerous and uttering threats.
One man has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and other offences after a stabbing and four foiled carjackings in Brampton.
The incident started at around 10 p.m. on Sunday when officers were called to the area of Clockwork Drive and Creditview Road in Brampton for reports of a robbery, Peel Regional Police say.
Investigators say a male suspect tried to carjack a vehicle while the owner was inside, and that the victim was stabbed. The victim was transported to a local trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot and went to a nearby residence where the man kicked in the door and demanded the keys to a vehicle.
But the suspect was unsuccessful and fled the residence before trying to carjack two more vehicles in the area. None of the additional victims were injured during the attempts.
Police say a suspect was arrested on Monday after serving a search warrant.
