Magic 9 series has entered the warm-up stage, and while the company is already teasing the key highlights of this flagship, leaks are also covering significant details; the latest one reveals that the 2026 Magic lineup will bring Honor’s new imaging chip.

Looks like Honor will use almost every camera feature of the ROBOT PHONE for the Magic 9 series.

After ARRI-powered capabilities, Honor’s Magic 9 series is in the news for adopting the company’s self-developed imaging chip launched with the Robot Phone.

Weibo tipster @WangzaiKnowsEverything revealed that the Magic 9 Super Edition and other high-end models of the series will feature the new-gen Honor C3 chip.

It is generally a custom communication and radio-frequency enhancement processor, developed by Honor to deliver stronger and more stable mobile + Wi-Fi signals. It can boost cellular signal reception by 20% in weak network areas.

Adding more, the tipster said the Honor Magic 9 and Pro Max models will use the company’s first self-developed imaging chip, Yuguang H1 that debuted on Robot Phone. It is an in-house AI Image Signal Processor for professional mobile videography.

Yuguang H1 can deliver an energy efficiency density of 18.8 TOPS per watt with real-time RAW Domain Processing support and manages white balance, exposure control, tone mapping, glare reduction, and detail enhancement.

The new chip came into existence after a collaboration between Honor and ARRI for the Robot Phone. Now the company may bring this chipset to the Magic 9 series, enhancing its video shooting capabilities to a greater extent.
