Those with a sweet tooth won’t want to miss a butter tart festival coming to Mississauga this month.

The Streetsville Butter Tarts and More Market returns to the Streetsville Village Square on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The free community event celebrates one of Ontario’s most beloved treats while bringing together talented bakers, food vendors, artisans and small businesses, said organizer, Gotta Luv Butter Tarts.

Visitors can expect an incredible selection of butter tarts featuring classic favourites as well as creative and indulgent flavours, along with baked goods, specialty foods and unique products from local vendors, the organizer said.

“Streetsville is the perfect home for a celebration of butter tarts,” said Helen Prucha, founder of Gotta Luv Butter Tarts. “We want people to come hungry, bring their family and friends, discover amazing Ontario bakers and have some fun. There is nothing quite like seeing people’s faces when they find their favourite butter tart!”

The event is designed to showcase local entrepreneurs while giving the community a fun, free way to spend the day in Streetsville.

Other baked goods at the market will include cookies, macarons and artisanal breads. And the local marketplace is slated to have unique, handmade goods from local and small business owners.
