Vancouver Canucks players and alumni were among golfers on the two courses at Northview on Monday, Sept. 14.
The Surrey golf club was again filled with a hockey vibe during the 42nd Jake Milford Charity Invitational Golf Tournament, dubbed “The Jake” in honour of former Canucks general manager Jake Milford, who died of pancreatic cancer in 1984.
The charity tournament raises money for Canucks for Kids Fund and Vancouver Canucks Alumni Foundation, including $676,000 in 2025.
Golf threesomes pay up to $9,350 for a round with Canucks players, coaches, management and alumni, with food, prizes and plenty of other perks.
The Canucks for Kids Fund online 50/50 raffle opens Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. on vancouvercanucks5050.com and runs throughout Canucks training camp in Penticton and both preseason games, closing Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the end of the second intermission of a game vs. Calgary Flames. Proceeds support wildfire relief in B.C., with an estimated jackpot of $100,000. Ticket packages are five for $10, 100 for $25, 225 for $50 and 500 tickets for $100.
