Three suspects from Toronto and Scarborough have been charged after multiple businesses were broken into north of Brampton and in Durham Region, police say.
Investigators haven’t released specifics on what businesses were targeted, but the OPP says the string of break-and-enters happened throughout the summer at industrial and commercial locations in Caledon and throughout Durham Region.
An investigation led police to raid three addresses in Toronto where officers recovered two vehicles, numerous stolen power tools and break-in instruments.
Three people have been arrested and charged with multiple offences.
The OPP says Imre Erdei-Nagy, 25, of Scarborough, and Jozsef Toth, 36, of Toronto, have been charged with five counts each of break-and-enter, four counts each of theft over $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime.
Krisztian Algacs, 35, of Scarborough, has been charged with two counts of failure to comply with release order, and one count each of break-and-enter, theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
All of the accused were held for a bail hearing to answer the charges.
