Tuesday is expected to bring a chance of showers to the Greater Toronto Area and a risk of thunderstorms to parts of southern Ontario.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says the morning will start with a mix of sun and cloudy conditions with a 40 to 60 per cent chance of showers in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara Falls area.
A south wind will be blowing around 30 km/h in the morning with gusts up to around 50 km/h. The daytime high will be around 25 C in Mississauga, but could feel more like 27 C due to the humidity.
The UV index will be 6 or “high,” the weather agency says.
Tuesday night will be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the GTA in the evening and after midnight. There’s also a risk of thunderstorms in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, and Niagara Falls.
The overnight low will be around 18 C in Mississauga and 20 C in Niagara Falls.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, expect a mix of sun and cloudy conditions in Mississauga, with a high of 26 C and a low of 11 C. More showers could return on Thursday with a 40 per cent chance in Mississauga, a high of 26 C and a low of 15 C.
Friday is expected to be sunny during the day with a high of 25 C, with increasing cloud cover in the evening and a low of 11 C.
More showers are possible on the weekend, with a 60 per cent chance in the evening on Saturday and another 60 per cent chance in the evening on Sunday, the weather agency says.
