3 products from IFA 2026 in Berlin with a best in show seal

Credit: Fellow, COSORI, Ooni

As editors, scoping out the latest and greatest home trends is a key piece of our job description — and part of how we do that is by attending industry trade shows. But IFA Berlin isn’t your average event — it’s a global five-day showcase of the most innovative products in tech, from home appliances to smart kitchen gadgets. Thousands of brands from around the world exhibit new and soon-to-be-launched products here and get invaluable real-time feedback from attendees before they hit the market. It’s essentially a first look into the future of tech (and boy, was it promising!).

This year, around 240,000 attendees gathered at Messe Berlin to experience the tech firsthand. Spread over 2,045,142 square feet, IFA featured a full program of activations: panels with industry leaders, product demos, and even live music performances and podcast recordings.

The Kitchn’s Best In Show at IFA 2026

I spent a week experiencing everything IFA Berlin had to offer, and walked the show floor to find the home and kitchen gadgets worthy of The Kitchn’s “Best In Show” seal. And while some of the winners haven’t launched in the U.S. yet, they’re worth keeping on your radar until they do. Here’s why.

Fellow Espresso Series 1 at IFA 2026 show in BerlinFellow Espresso Series 1

Fellow recently launched its Espresso Series 1, and after seeing it up close and personal on the IFA floor, I can honestly tell you it’s the Mercedes of espresso machines. The design is stunning, with a glossy exterior in seven color options and high-shine chrome finishes, along with a durable rubber top for storing espresso cups. And it actually makes a wicked-good cup of espresso (trust me, I got a sample). Its patented boiler system heats up in two minutes or less, while its programmable pressure controls precisely adjust each shot for consistent pull and deliver flavorful espresso every time. Just swipe through its preset menu to get started, or use it manually to go full barista mode.

Grovero MiniGro Cube at IFA 2026 show in BerlinGrovero MiniGro Cube

If, like me, you’re still a little nervous about buying fresh greens these days due to Cyclospora outbreaks and a new food recall what feels like every week, you’ll want to keep an eye on this new-to-The Kitchn brand, Grovero. They make a countertop microfarm called the MiniGro+, which basically runs itself — all you need to do is add your seeds, fill the water tank, and select your growth cycle; it handles the light, irrigation, and everything else your crop needs to flourish.

The MiniGro+ is used in professional and home kitchens throughout Europe, but Grovero is working on releasing the new MiniGro Cube, which made its debut at IFA. It’s essentially a more compact iteration of the MiniGro+ intended for smaller apartment kitchens, with a more accessible price point. The launch timing is TBD, but this is certainly one to watch.

Ooni Halo Core Spiral Mixer at IFA 2026 show in BerlinOoni Halo Core Spiral Mixer

Ooni, the brand behind one of The Kitchn’s favorite pizza ovens, just dropped a new spiral mixer, and I have a feeling it’s going to be the new “it” appliance. With its 4.3 quart-capacity, the Halo Core Spiral Mixer is smaller (and more affordable) than the brand’s popular Halo Pro Mixer, so it nestles perfectly on your countertop. Featuring dual high-torque motors (with a built-in auto-slow feature that keeps them from overheating), 20 speed settings, and a fleet of dishwasher-safe attachments, there’s no recipe this thing can’t make.

FoodCycler NovaX Food Waste RecyclerFoodCycler NovaX Food Waste Recycler

Calling all composters! FoodCycler’s upcoming launch, the NovaX Food Recycler, deserves a spot on your wish list. It takes all your food scraps — fruit peels and rinds, vegetable stalks, eggshells, you name it — and grinds them down into a fine, vitamin-rich soil. Then back into the earth it goes! No stinky odors or mysterious juices leaking from your garbage bag. The NovaX is also faster and more efficient than other at-home composters due to its sharp, heavy-duty blades. And the removable, scratch-resistant bucket is easy to clean. My favorite part, though, is its sleek, compact footprint that doesn’t require much counter space while still being large enough for households of up to four people. Stay tuned! It’s launching later this year.

Cosori Iconic™ The Stainless Steel 6.5-Quart Smart Air Fryer at IFA 2026 show in BerlinCosori Iconic™ The Stainless Steel 6.5-Quart Smart Air Fryer

Kitchn editors have put several Cosori air fryers to the test over the years, so I immediately perked up when I saw the new Iconic Smart Air Fryer. It drew me in right away with its gleaming stainless steel look. But what’s inside really counts: a non-stick ceramic-coated cooking surface, a powerful DC motor, and five fan speeds that cook things in even less time. Best of all, you can control it remotely via the compatible VeSync app. Monitor your cooking, use voice controls, and pre-save recipes for quick weeknight dinners.

RO Water Filter 115Dreo Water Filter 115

One thing I noticed while walking the IFA halls was the abundance of water purification tech. There were bulky purifier tanks (that take up precious under-sink cabinet space) and sink attachments with complicated setups, but the DREO Water Filter 115 has a compact body that perches effortlessly on your countertop. It features a seven-in-one filtration system that filters out 99.99% of contaminants, and includes two five-liter pitchers that refill automatically so there’s always clean water to drink. The machine is also self-cleaning to help prolong the lifespan of its filter, which is already long-lasting. Seriously, one filter yields a whopping 265 gallons of purified water. And the display screen alerts you when it’s time to replace it — no more guessing.

Midea Arti Series Countertop Microwave Oven at IFA 2026 show in BerlinMidea Arti Series Countertop Microwave Oven

I’ll be honest: I mostly know Midea for its window AC units, so I was floored to see how massive the brand’s catalog is in Europe. They make everything: vacuum cleaners, laundry machines, and kitchen appliances, like the Arti Series Countertop Microwave Oven. And I know that microwaves get a bad rap, but this isn’t a normal microwave; it’s eight appliances rolled into one countertop hero. It has a bake, steam, air-fry, ferment, defrost, keep warm, and a combi function (which combines steam and convection cooking). All I could think was how it would be an absolute game-changer in a small New York apartment. And it truly looks the part, thanks to the glossy white exterior and black glass window that mimics the look of a matted piece of art. The jury’s still out on whether and when the microwave will make its stateside debut, but I’m crossing my fingers that it happens soon.

Euhomy Jet Pro Ice Maker Dispenser at IFA 2026 show in BerlinEuhomy Jet Pro Ice Maker Dispenser

Nugget ice, anyone? The Euhomy Jet Pro Ice Maker Dispenser is seriously speedy, pumping out fresh nugget ice in just 7 to 10 minutes. And when it’s time to make your morning iced latté, dispense the ice directly into your cup at the touch of a button — no more shoveling it out of a bin. It’s also only seven inches wide, so it’s narrow enough to nestle onto your countertop or in a pantry. You can find Euhomy products on Amazon, so I’d watch that space when the Jet Pro launches soon.

Nutricook Smart Pot 5 at IFA 2026 show in BerlinNutricook Smart Pot 5

Nutricook is known for its cutting-edge pressure cookers, and I got to see their newest iteration, the Smart Pot 5, while walking the IFA floor. Honestly, there’s nothing it can’t do. It can make stews and soups, cook rice in record time, bake, steam, sauté, and so much more. Designed with a slate of smart built-in cooking programs, it even has customizable buttons that let you save your favorite recipes for quick, one-touch cooking. Don’t worry about dishes, either: the Smart Pot 5’s inner pots wash up with minimal effort.

InstantChill ice cream makerInstantPot InstantChill

It feels like every home appliance brand is releasing ice cream makers lately, but the InstantChill by InstantPot is totally different. It makes ice cream, gelato, and sorbet, and it features a mix-in function that lets you create custom flavors, plus a cold plate attachment for rolled ice cream (it’s any sweet tooth’s dream!). Unlike other ice cream makers on the market, the InstantChill doesn’t require any pre-freezing thanks to the built-in compressor. All you need is 20 minutes, and you’ll have a pint of homemade ice cream to brag about. There’s no wait; shop the InstantChill on InstantPot’s website or on Amazon here.
