National championship racing is returning to Simcoe County. Hardwood Ski and Bike, in partnership with Pulse Racing Inc., has been selected as the official venue for the 2026 Canadian Cyclocross Championships on October 31, 2026.
This prestigious event will bring Canada’s top cycling talent to the region to battle for the iconic maple leaf jersey.
To kick off the excitement, a grassroots media and public photo opportunity will take place earlier in the month, offering a perfect angle on how the community is getting involved:
Event: Free Community Cross Night
Date: Monday, October 5th, 2026
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: Hardwood Ski and Bike (402 Old Barrie Road W, Oro-Medonte)
Details: Local residents of all ages are invited to try the official championship course for free. The evening includes free bike rentals, trail guides, and free hot chocolate. Powered by the Hardwood Racing Club.
